From Fimmvorduhals Pass, head southeast on Route 1 (Ring Road) towards Vik. After approximately 30 kilometers, look for a marked parking area for the Solheimasandur Plane Wreck on the left side of the road. The parking area is located at coordinates 63.4591° N, -19.3648° W. Park your vehicle here, as the wreck is located about 4 kilometers from the parking area.

After parking your car at the designated area, follow the well-trodden path leading to the wreck. The walk is approximately 1 hour each way on mostly flat terrain. Ensure to wear sturdy shoes and check the weather conditions before heading out.

If you are using public transport, take a bus from Reykjavik to Vik. Once you arrive in Vik, you may need to arrange a taxi to take you to the parking area for the Solheimasandur Plane Wreck.
