    Start your journey from Fimmvörðuháls Pass by driving south on Route 1, also known as the Ring Road. Continue for approximately 15 kilometers until you see the sign for Skógafoss waterfall on your right. Turn onto the road leading to the waterfall and follow it for about 1 kilometer. You will reach the parking area for Skógafoss, where you can park your car for free. The waterfall is just a short walk from the parking area.

    If you are using public transportation, you will first need to take a bus from the nearest town, Vík í Mýrdal, which is about 30 kilometers away. Check the local bus schedules for services that travel along Route 1 towards Skógafoss.
