Getting There

  • Car

    From Þingvellir National Park, head east on Route 36 towards Route 365. Continue on Route 365 until you reach the junction with Route 37. Turn left onto Route 37 and follow it until reaching Route 1 (the Ring Road). Take Route 1 heading north towards Blönduós. After about 50 km, take the exit for Route 35 towards Geysir. Follow Route 35 until you reach the intersection with Route 32, then turn right onto Route 32. Continue until you reach Route 30. Take Route 30 to Route 1, and then follow it to the junction with Route 35. Turn left onto Route 35 and continue until you see the signs for Hveravellir. Note that the last part of the journey to Hveravellir involves driving on a F-road (F578) which may require a 4x4 vehicle due to rough terrain.
