From Hengifoss Waterfall, head back to Route 1 (the Ring Road) by taking the road you arrived on. Turn left onto Route 1 heading west. Continue for approximately 20 kilometers until you see the sign for Jökulsá á Dal útsýnispallur, which is located near the Foot Bridge over Jökulsá á Brú. There is a parking area available at the site.

Take a local bus from Hengifoss Waterfall towards Egilsstaðir. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as routes may vary. Upon arriving in Egilsstaðir, transfer to a bus heading towards Jökulsárlón or Seyðisfjörður, and request to be dropped off at the closest stop to Jökulsá á Dal útsýnispallur, which is near the Foot Bridge over Jökulsá á Brú. Be prepared for a short walk from the bus stop to the viewing platform.
