Walking
From the center of Hveragerdi, head northwest on Laugavegur street toward the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Hveragerðisvegur. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the sign for Reykjadalur Hot Springs. You will see a dirt path leading into the valley. Follow this path, which will lead you through beautiful landscapes and a river. The hike is approximately 3 kilometers (about 1.5 miles) and will take around 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your pace.

From Hveragerdi, take a bus to the nearest stop that services the Reykjadalur area. Check the local bus schedules (you can ask at the local tourist information center or your accommodation for assistance) for the latest routes and times. Once you arrive at the designated bus stop, follow the signs to the Reykjadalur Hot Springs trailhead, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. The trail will lead you to the hot springs.
