Bus
From the central area of Kopavogur, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is likely near the Kopavogur town hall. Board the bus number 1 towards Reykjavik. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes, and get off at the stop named 'Hveradalir'. From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk down Hellishelðivegur road to reach the Hveradalir Geothermal Area.

If you prefer to walk, start from the main square in Kopavogur. Head south on Eyrarvegur street until you reach the intersection with Hellishelðivegur. Turn left onto Hellishelðivegur and walk for approximately 3 kilometers. You'll pass by scenic views and small natural features along the way. Hveradalir Geothermal Area is located on your right side.

Bicycle
For a more active option, you can rent a bicycle in Kopavogur. Start from the town center and ride south on Eyrarvegur street. After about 1 kilometer, turn left onto Hellishelðivegur and follow the road for about 3 kilometers. You can enjoy the fresh air and beautiful landscapes as you ride. The Hveradalir Geothermal Area will be on your right.
