From the center of Kopavogur, walk to the nearest bus stop. You can catch the Strætó bus number 6 towards Reykjavik. Make sure to check the schedule as buses may not run frequently. You will travel for approximately 20-30 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Reykjavik City Center' and transfer to bus number 57 heading towards 'Hveragerði'. After about 30 minutes, get off at the 'Reykjadalur' stop. From the bus stop, it is a 15-minute walk to the hot springs. Follow the signs leading you through the hiking trail, and you will reach the Reykjadalur Hot Spring Thermal River.

If you find yourself near the Kopavogur Swimming Pool, you can start your journey by walking towards the main road, Suðurlandsvegur. Once you reach the road, continue walking south until you reach the intersection with Hveragerðisbær. Cross the road and walk straight to find the hiking path that leads to Reykjadalur. The trail is well-marked, and it will take about 1.5 hours to hike to the hot springs. Enjoy the scenery along the way!
