From anywhere in Kopavogur, head to the nearest bus stop. Look for Bus number 1 or 3 that travels towards Reykjavík. Board the bus and stay on until you reach the 'Laugardalsvöllur' stop. This journey will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you get off the bus, walk east towards the park, which is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop.

If you're close to the center of Kopavogur, you can also walk to Reykjavík Park and Zoo. Start at the Kopavogur church and head east on Gilsbakkavegur road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the main road, then cross over to Laugardalur area. The park is about a 40-minute walk from the church, and you'll enjoy the scenic views along the way.

For those who prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Kopavogur. Cycle along the coast towards Reykjavík, following the bike path along the water. Stay on the path until you reach Laugardalur. The journey will take around 25-30 minutes depending on your pace.
