If you are driving, head towards Hellnar, a small village on the southern coast of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. From Reykjavík, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) northwest towards Borgarnes. At Borgarnes, take Route 54 towards Snæfellsnes. Continue on Route 54 until you reach the intersection with Route 574. Turn left onto Route 574, which leads directly to Hellnar. The drive takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Once in Hellnar, follow signs for Lóndrangar, which is about a 10-minute drive from the village.
Public Transportation
For those relying on public transportation, take a bus from Reykjavík to Snæfellsnes, which operates through several companies. You would typically catch a bus from the BSI bus terminal. The journey to Hellnar takes approximately 3 to 4 hours. Once you arrive at Hellnar, you can either walk or take a taxi to Lóndrangar, which is about 6 km away. Note that bus schedules may vary, so check the latest timetable in advance. Make sure to account for the cost of the bus ticket, which can range from ISK 5,000 to ISK 7,000 one way.
Taxi
