If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest town, which is Hella. Head northeast on Route 26 towards Þjórsárdalur valley. After approximately 30 km, turn onto Route 32, then continue to Route 1. After that, take Route 30 towards the highlands. Follow the signs to Landmannalaugar, which will lead you close to Bláhnjúkur. As you approach Landmannalaugar, you will see a marked parking area. Park your car here; note that there is a parking fee of around 1,000 ISK for the day.
