Walking
From the center of Vik, head north on the main road (Road 1) towards the Vik i Myrdal Church. Walk for about 15 minutes until you reach the church. Once at the church, turn left and continue walking along the path that leads to the hills. Keep following the path up the hill for approximately 30 minutes. You will notice Einhyrningur, the mountain peak, becoming visible as you ascend. The trek can be steep, so make sure to wear appropriate footwear.

If you are an experienced hiker, you can take a more direct route. Starting from the Vik i Myrdal Church, take the dirt path that leads up to the hills directly behind the church. This path is more rugged and can take about 1 hour to reach the summit of Einhyrningur. Ensure you have a map with you or a GPS device, as the path is less marked.
