From Þingvellir National Park, take Route 36 towards Mosfellsdalur. Continue on Route 36 for approximately 30 km. When you reach the roundabout at Mosfellsdalur, take the first exit onto Route 49 towards Gljúfrasteinn. Continue on Route 49 for about 4 km, then turn left onto Gljúfrasteinn Road. The Laxness Museum will be on your right at Gljúfrasteinn 36, 270 Mosfellsdalur.

From Þingvellir National Park, you can catch a bus to Reykjavik. Once in Reykjavik, transfer to bus number 15 heading towards Mosfellsbær. Get off at the Gljúfrasteinn stop.
