Walking
From downtown Boise, start at the intersection of 8th Street and Main Street. Head east on Main Street towards 9th Street. Turn left onto 9th Street and walk north until you reach the intersection with State Street. Cross State Street and continue walking north on 9th Street. After a few blocks, 9th Street becomes N. Old Penitentiary Road. The Idaho Botanical Garden will be on your left at 2355 N Old Penitentiary Rd. The entire walk is approximately 30 minutes, covering around 1.5 miles.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing programs available in downtown Boise. Start at the bike station nearest to you and head east towards 9th Street.
