Car
From the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, head south on ID-75 S towards Ketchum. Follow ID-75 S until you reach the junction with US-20 E. Continue on US-20 E for approximately 60 miles until you reach the entrance to Craters of the Moon National Monument & Preserve. The park entrance is located off US-20 E, approximately 15 miles west of Arco, Idaho. There is an entrance fee of $20 per vehicle, which is valid for 7 days.

Due to the remote location of Craters of the Moon, direct public transportation options are limited. You can take a bus from Boise to Idaho Falls via Greyhound or a similar service. From Idaho Falls, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach Craters of the Moon National Monument & Preserve, which is approximately 90 miles away. Expect to pay around $100 for the taxi ride one way, as public transport does not directly connect to the park.
