If you are in Bolingbrook, head to the nearest bus stop and take the Pace Bus Route 755 towards the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Orange Line at Midway Airport. Ride the bus until you reach the 'Plainfield & 75th' stop. Transfer to the Pace Bus Route 834 towards the 'Cicero & 75th' stop. Continue until you reach the 'Cicero & 63rd' stop. Here, you will transfer to the CTA Orange Line train towards 'Loop'. Ride the train until you arrive at the 'Library' stop. Upon exiting the station, walk east on W. Congress Parkway for about 3 blocks until you reach Harold Washington Library Center at 400 S State St.

From Bolingbrook, make your way to the nearest Metra station, which is the 'Bolingbrook Station'. Take the Metra Heritage Corridor line towards Chicago Union Station. Get off at the 'Union Station'. Once you arrive at Union Station, exit and walk towards the Clark/Lake station on the CTA. From there, take the Brown Line or Pink Line towards 'Kimball' or 'The Loop'. Get off at 'Washington/Wells' station. Walk east on W. Washington St. until you reach S. State St., then turn left and walk north for about 4 blocks to reach Harold Washington Library Center at 400 S State St.
