From Chicago, take I-94 north towards Wisconsin. Exit onto Route 173 East and follow it to Sheridan Road. Turn right onto Sheridan Road, then left onto Wadsworth Road, which leads into the park. Parking is available within the campground. Parking fees are included in the camping permit. Note that during peak season, parking can be limited.

Public Transport
Take the Metra Union Pacific North Line train from Chicago's Ogilvie Transportation Center (OTC) to the Zion station. From there, you can take a taxi or ride-sharing service to the Illinois Beach State Park Campground, approximately 5 miles away. A taxi or ride-share will cost approximately $15-$25. Alternatively, Pace Bus route 571 operates near the park, but requires a longer walk. A one-way Metra ticket from Chicago to Zion costs $4 - $9.
