Getting There

    From Matthiessen State Park, exit the park and head northwest on IL-178 N. Continue on IL-178 N for approximately 2.5 miles until you reach the intersection with IL-71. Turn left onto IL-71 W and continue for about 3 miles. At the intersection with IL-23, turn right and head north. After about 2 miles, take a left onto N 27th Rd (Dee Bennett Road). The Illinois Waterway Visitors Center will be on the right at 950 N 27th Rd, Ottawa, IL 61350. There is no entry fee for the visitors center itself, but you may incur parking fees if available.
