From downtown Naperville, walk to the nearest bus stop at Washington St & Jefferson Ave. Take the Pace Bus Route 855 towards Chicago. Stay on the bus for about 40 minutes until you reach the stop at North Lake Shore Drive & Wrightwood Ave. From there, walk 5 minutes northeast along North Lake Shore Drive to arrive at the International Museum of Surgical Science located at 1524 N Lake Shore Dr, Chicago, IL 60610.
Metra Train and Public Transportation

Head to the Naperville Metra Station located at 105 E 4th Ave. Board the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Line towards Chicago Union Station. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the Union Station Stop. Once at Union Station, transfer to the CTA Brown Line train towards Kimball. Ride the Brown Line for about 20 minutes and get off at the Sedgwick Stop. From there, walk east for about 10 minutes along North Avenue, then head north on North Lake Shore Drive to reach the museum.
Bicycle Rental

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in downtown Naperville. Start at the Riverwalk and follow the bike paths towards the east. Continue on the paths to connect to the trails leading towards Chicago. The ride will take approximately 1.5 hours.
