If you're starting from the Joliet Public Library, head northeast on Scott Street toward the intersection with East Jefferson Street. Turn left onto East Jefferson Street and continue for about 0.5 miles, passing several shops and cafes. When you reach the intersection with North Bluff Street, turn right. Walk a short distance, and you will find Joliet's First Sidewalks Historic Site located at 200-294 N Bluff St.

Public Transport
From the Joliet Transit Center, take the Pace Bus Route 503 towards the Joliet Mall. Get off at the stop at E Jefferson St & N Bluff St. Head north on N Bluff St for about 0.2 miles. You will see Joliet's First Sidewalks Historic Site located at 200-294 N Bluff St on your left. A regular fare on Pace Bus is $2.00.

Take the Metra Rock Island District Line from Chicago to Joliet. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Joliet Union Station, exit and head northwest on Jefferson St toward Bluff St. Turn right onto Bluff St, and the historic site will be on your left between 200-294 N Bluff St. Check the Metra schedule for fares and times. A one-way Metra ticket from Chicago to Joliet costs around $7.
