From downtown Gary, walk to the nearest bus stop on Broadway Avenue. Take the Gary Public Transit bus that heads south towards Chicago. You will need to transfer at the Gary Metro Center to the South Shore Line train heading toward Millennium Station. After roughly a 30-minute ride, disembark at the 18th Street station in Chicago. From there, walk east to State Street and head south until you reach 3360 S State St. S. R. Crown Hall will be on your left.

Once at the station, take the South Shore Line train to Chicago. After arriving at Millennium Station, follow the signs to the underground pedway leading to the Loop. Exit at State Street and walk south. Continue walking until you reach 3360 S State St.
