The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at Gili Trawangan, you can either rent a bicycle or take a horse-drawn cart (cidomo) to reach the port area where you can catch a local boat to the snorkeling point in Gili Indah.
Bicycle Rental
After arriving at Gili Trawangan, rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops near the harbor (prices are usually around IDR 50,000 for a half-day). Cycle towards the main road leading to the harbor area where local boats can be found. This is a scenic ride and will take about 10-15 minutes.
Local Boat
Once you reach the harbor area, look for local boat operators offering trips to the snorkeling point in Gili Indah. The cost for a shared boat ride can range from IDR 100,000-150,000 per person, depending on the operator and the number of passengers. Confirm with the boat driver that you are headed to the snorkeling point and enjoy the short trip across the water, which typically takes around 20-30 minutes.
