If you are driving from Rantepao, the capital of Tana Toraja, head southeast on Jalan Poros Rantepao-Makale. Continue for approximately 22 km until you reach the town of Makale. From there, take a left onto the Jalan Lemo road, following the signs for Lemo. Continue for about 5 km, then turn right onto Jalan Tongkonan Alloan. Follow this road for another 2 km until you reach Tongkonan Alloan, which will be on your left.

To reach Tongkonan Alloan using public transport, take a minibus (angkot) from Rantepao heading to Makale. The fare is usually around 10,000 IDR. Upon reaching Makale, find another angkot that goes toward Lemo. These are usually parked near the market area. The fare for this leg will be around 5,000 IDR. Once you arrive at the Lemo area, you'll need to walk approximately 2 km to reach Tongkonan Alloan. Look for signage or ask locals for directions to ensure you are on the right path.
