From Rantepao, the main city in Tana Toraja, take the Jl. Poros Rantepao-Makale road heading north. After approximately 30 km, you will reach the sign for Lolai (often indicated as a tourist destination). Follow the signs and continue for another 10 km on a smaller road towards Lolai. The road may become narrow and winding as you approach the village. Upon arrival, you will find the Tongkonan Lempe. Make sure to have a map or GPS enabled, as mobile service may be limited in the area.

From Rantepao, head to the main bus station and look for a bus or minivan heading to Lolai or Kapala Pitu. The fare is typically around 20,000 IDR (approximately $1.50 USD).
