If you are starting from the Council Bluffs Public Library located at 400 Willow Ave, head south on Willow Ave towards 5th Ave. Turn left onto 5th Ave and continue until you reach the intersection with Broadway St. Cross Broadway St and continue south on 5th Ave. After a few blocks, 5th Ave will turn into S 6th St. Keep walking straight until you reach the intersection with W Broadway. Cross W Broadway and continue straight onto S 6th St. The Historic Train Bridge will be visible as you approach the area. Follow the pedestrian path toward the bridge.

From the Council Bluffs Transit Center at 7th Ave and Main St, take the Metro Area Transit bus route 2 towards the Iowa West Foundation. Get off at the 9th Ave and W Broadway stop. From there, walk west along W Broadway St until you reach S 6th St. Turn left onto S 6th St and continue walking straight until you see the Historic Train Bridge ahead. Follow the path leading towards the bridge.
