Experience Wicklow Head

Getting There

  • Walking

    Start your journey from Bray Main Street. Head south towards the seafront promenade. Continue along the promenade, enjoying the views of the sea. As you reach the end of the promenade, you will see the Bray Head trail sign. Follow the trail up Bray Head. It’s a steep climb but the views are worth it! Once you reach the top, you’ll see the Wicklow Head Lighthouse in the distance. Follow the path leading to the lighthouse. The route will take you along the cliffs with breathtaking views. After approximately 45 minutes of walking from Bray, you will arrive at Wicklow Head.

  • Public Transport

    From Bray, walk to the Bray Dart station located on the southern end of town. Take the DART train towards Greystones. After about 10 minutes, get off at the Greystones station. From there, walk towards the coast and follow the signs for the Wicklow Head trail. This is a scenic route along the coast that takes about 1 hour on foot. You will eventually arrive at Wicklow Head, where you can enjoy the stunning views of the lighthouse and the surrounding area.
