If you are traveling by car from anywhere within Connemara National Park, start by heading towards the N59 road. From Clifden, take the N59 north towards Westport. After approximately 30 kilometers, look for the turn-off to R335 towards Croagh Patrick. Follow the R335 until you reach the village of Murrisk, where you will see the signs for Croagh Patrick. There is a designated car park at the base of the mountain where you can leave your vehicle. Note that parking may incur a fee of around €5.

Public Transportation
To reach Croagh Patrick via public transportation, first take a bus from Clifden to Westport. Bus Éireann operates services on this route. Upon arriving in Westport, transfer to a local bus or taxi that goes to Murrisk. The local bus service is less frequent, so check the timetable in advance. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from Westport directly to the Croagh Patrick car park. Expect to pay around €15-€20 for the taxi.

If you are already near Murrisk and prefer walking, you can access the trailhead for Croagh Patrick from the village. The walk from the village center to the base of the mountain is about 1 kilometer. Follow the signs leading to the mountain; the path is well-marked and provides stunning views of the surrounding area as you approach Croagh Patrick.
