From Galway city center, take the N6 motorway towards Athlone. Continue on the N6 for about 40 kilometers. Take the exit for Ballinasloe (N61) and continue on the N61. Follow the signs for Ballinasloe town center. Once in Ballinasloe, follow the signs to Kilconnell. The Friary is located just outside the village of Kilconnell, approximately 6 kilometers from Ballinasloe. There is free parking available near the site.

From Galway city center, take a bus (Bus Éireann Route 20) towards Athlone. This bus will take you to Ballinasloe. Once in Ballinasloe, you can either walk (approximately 6 kilometers) or take a local taxi to reach Kilconnell. The walk will take around 1.5 hours. If you opt for a taxi, it should cost approximately €10-€15. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may vary.
