Car
From Croagh Patrick, head southwest on the N59 road towards Westport. Continue on the N59 for about 15 km. When you reach the village of Louisburgh, take a left onto the R319. Follow this road for approximately 6 km, then turn left onto a small road towards Bunlough Strand. Follow the signs, and you will reach the beach area. There is no specific parking lot at Bunlough Strand, but you can find places to park along the roadside.

From Croagh Patrick, walk to the nearest bus stop in Westport. Take Bus Eireann route 440 towards Louisburgh. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Louisburgh, you will need to walk approximately 3 km along the R319 road towards Bunlough Strand. Be cautious as this road may have limited pedestrian paths. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as service may be limited.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Westport. From Croagh Patrick, cycle southwest towards the N59. Follow the same route as a car, taking the N59 towards Louisburgh and then R319 towards Bunlough Strand. The total cycling distance is around 22 km. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow road safety rules, as some sections may have traffic.
