Walking
From Drogheda town center, head south on West Street towards the Boyne River. Cross the river at the West Bridge and continue straight onto the N51. Follow the N51 for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the R132. Turn right onto the R132 and continue walking for another 1 kilometer. Keep an eye out for road signs pointing to Dublin. After walking approximately 2.5 kilometers from the town center, you will reach the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, located on Military Rd.

From Drogheda Bus Station, take the Bus Eireann route towards Dublin City. Stay on the bus for about 35-40 minutes. Get off at the stop for 'Heuston Station'. From Heuston Station, you can either walk or take a local bus. If walking, exit the station and head southeast along the River Liffey on the R148. After about 25 minutes, you will arrive at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham on Military Rd.

From Drogheda Train Station, board a train heading towards Dublin Connolly Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Connolly Station, exit the station and walk to the nearby Busaras (Bus Station). From there, take a bus heading towards Kilmainham. Get off at the stop for Military Rd. The Royal Hospital Kilmainham will be just a short walk from the bus stop.
