Travel Guide to The Oratory Dún Laoghaire

Getting There

• DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit)

  From any location in Dublin, make your way to the nearest DART station. If you are near the city center, you can catch the DART at Dublin Pearse Station or Tara Street Station. Purchase a ticket for Dún Laoghaire. Board the DART train heading south towards Bray. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Dún Laoghaire station, exit the station and head south on George's Street. Continue straight until you reach the waterfront. The Oratory Dún Laoghaire is located along the coast, easily visible from the waterfront.

• Bus

  Find the nearest bus stop in Dublin that serves the Dún Laoghaire area. You can take Dublin Bus routes 7, 7A, or 46A from various locations around the city. Board the bus towards Dún Laoghaire and enjoy the scenic route. The bus journey may take around 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Dún Laoghaire terminus, disembark and walk towards the coast. Head south on George's Street until you reach the waterfront, where The Oratory Dún Laoghaire is situated.

• Walking

  If you are in a nearby area such as Dun Laoghaire itself or Sandycove, you can walk to The Oratory Dún Laoghaire. From the Dún Laoghaire pier, head east along the seafront promenade. You will enjoy beautiful views of the bay as you walk. Continue walking until you see the Oratory, which is a notable landmark along the waterfront. It is located close to the end of the pier. The walk should take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on your starting point.
