Inform the driver that you would like to get off at the nearest stop to Burnchurch Castle. The trip should take approximately 20-30 minutes. Once you get off, walk towards the Unnamed Road and follow the trail leading to the castle.

Starting from Kilkenny Castle, exit the grounds and head southeast on the Castle Road until you reach the intersection with the Ring Road (N76). Cross the road carefully and continue along the footpath to the southwest. After about 1.5 km, take a left onto the Unnamed Road. Walk straight for about 800 meters and you will reach Burnchurch Castle. Please note that the route may involve walking along lightly trafficked roads, so exercise caution.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, consider renting a bike from one of the rental shops in Kilkenny City Centre. Start by cycling towards the Castle and then follow the Castle Road. After 1.5 km, turn left onto the Ring Road (N76) and continue southwest. After about 2 km, take a left onto the Unnamed Road. Burnchurch Castle will be a short distance ahead on the left. The entire bike ride should take around 30-40 minutes depending on your cycling speed.
