From Salthill Promenade, head east towards the main road (Salthill Road). Turn left onto Salthill Road and continue walking until you reach the junction with the R336. Cross the road and take the bus stop for the 'Aran Islands' bus. Board the bus heading towards Ennis. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the bus stop for 'Carran'. From the bus stop, walk north on the local road for about 1 kilometer until you reach Caherconnell Stone Fort.
