From Amalfi, head to the main bus station located near the Piazza Flavio Gioia. Take the SITA bus heading towards Naples. Make sure to purchase your ticket at the nearby ticket booth or from a tabaccheria (tobacco shop) before boarding. The journey to Ercolano will take approximately 1 hour. You need to get off at the 'Ercolano Scavi' stop. Once you get off the bus, walk towards the entrance of the Herculaneum archaeological site, and you will find signs directing you to Piazzale di Quota 1000.

Train
To reach Ercolano from Amalfi, first take the SITA bus from Amalfi to Salerno. Once you arrive at the Salerno train station, purchase a ticket for the Circumvesuviana train towards Sorrento. Get off at the 'Ercolano Scavi' station. After exiting the train, follow the signs towards the archaeological site entrance. From there, you can walk to Piazzale di Quota 1000, which will be clearly marked.

Take a ferry from Amalfi to Salerno. Once you arrive at Salerno, walk to the main bus station located near the port. Catch a SITA bus towards Naples, and get off at the 'Ercolano Scavi' stop.
