In Brig, follow signs for the Simplon Pass (SS33) until you reach the town of Visp. From Visp, take the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn train to Zermatt. If you prefer public transportation, start at the Aosta train station. Take a regional train towards Turin and transfer at the Ivrea station to catch the train towards Domodossola. From Domodossola, take the train to Brig, where you will switch to the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn train that goes directly to Zermatt. The total travel time may take around 3-4 hours, depending on the transfer times between trains.
