From the center of Assisi, start at Piazza del Comune. Head south towards Via San Francesco and continue straight. You will pass the Basilica di San Francesco on your right. Continue on Via San Francesco until you reach the intersection with Via San Pietro. Turn left onto Via San Pietro and continue until you reach the intersection with SP410. Cross the road and continue straight on the pathway that leads into the countryside. After about 30 minutes of walking, you will arrive at Località Macciano, where the Olivo secolare di Macciano is located.

From Assisi, head to the local bus station located near the train station, Assisi. Take the bus that heads towards Giano dell'Umbria. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time. After approximately 25 minutes, get off at the stop closest to Località Macciano. From the bus stop, it will be a short 10-minute walk to the Olivo secolare di Macciano. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions.
