Walking
If you are starting from the central square of Assisi, Piazza del Comune, head east on Via Mazzini. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via San Francesco. Turn left onto Via San Francesco and follow the road as it curves slightly to the right. You will pass the Church of San Francesco on your left. Keep walking until you reach the first intersection, then turn right onto Via Santa Chiara. Continue straight until you reach the end of the street, where you will find the entrance to the Basilica di Santa Chiara. Continue past the basilica and take a left onto Via Matteotti. Follow this road until you see the signs directing you towards Foligno. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will see signs for Piazza San Domenico. The square will be on your left.

If you are near the Basilica di San Francesco, exit the basilica and turn left onto Via San Francesco. Walk downhill until you reach the intersection with Via Mazzini. Turn right onto Via Mazzini and continue straight. After about 500 meters, you will arrive at the intersection with Via Santa Chiara. Turn left onto Via Santa Chiara and follow the street until you reach the end. Turn left onto Via Matteotti, then follow the road towards Foligno. After walking about 1 kilometer, you will find signs directing you to Piazza San Domenico on your left.

If you are at the Rocca Maggiore, exit the castle and turn right onto the path leading down towards the town. Continue straight until you reach the end of the path, which will lead you to Via San Francesco. Turn left and walk downhill until you reach Piazza del Comune. From there, follow the previous walking directions towards Piazza San Domenico.
