Getting There

  • Car

    Start by heading east on Strada Statale 26 (SS26) from La Thuile. Follow the SS26 for approximately 20 km until you reach the junction for the Mont Blanc Tunnel (Tunnel du Mont-Blanc). Take the exit towards the tunnel and continue through it. Once you exit the tunnel in France, follow signs for Chamonix. As you approach Chamonix, keep an eye out for signs directing you to the town center. Upon entering Chamonix, keep left at the fork and follow Avenue de l'Aiguille du Midi. Continue straight onto Rue du Docteur Paccard. After about 1 km, you will arrive at 85 Pl. du Triangle de l'Amitié, where the Office de Tourisme de Chamonix-Mont-Blanc is located.

    From La Thuile, take the local bus service (check local schedules for times) to Courmayeur. Once in Courmayeur, transfer to the bus heading to Chamonix. The bus journey takes approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic and stops. Once you arrive in Chamonix, disembark at the main bus station. From there, it's a short walk to 85 Pl. du Triangle de l'Amitié. Head east on Rue de la Poste, then turn left onto Avenue de l'Aiguille du Midi. Continue straight until you reach the triangular square where the Office de Tourisme is located.
