Walking
From the Lucca Train Station (Stazione di Lucca), head southeast on Via Giuseppe Mazzini. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Roma. Turn left onto Via Roma and walk until you reach Piazza San Francesco. From there, head towards Via Santa Croce and follow it until you arrive at Piazza Santa Maria Foris Portam. The Church of Saint Mary Foris Portam will be located on your left.

If you are at Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, exit the square through the main entrance and turn right onto Via dell'Anfiteatro. Continue walking straight until you reach Via Fillungo. Turn left on Via Fillungo and walk until you reach Via San Paolino. Turn right onto Via San Paolino and then take a left onto Via Santa Maria Foris Portam. The church will be at the end of the street.
