Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Viale della Repubblica. Turn left onto Viale della Repubblica and walk towards the ancient city walls of Lucca. As you approach the walls, keep walking straight until you reach the entrance to the walls. Enter the park area surrounding the walls; you will see signs pointing towards Viale delle Mura Urbane. Follow the path along the walls, and you will arrive at Bulwark of Freedom located at Viale delle Mura Urbane.

If you are starting from Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, exit the square and head towards Via Fillungo. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Viale Vittorio Emanuele II. Turn left onto Viale Vittorio Emanuele II and continue walking straight until you reach the city walls. Once you arrive at the walls, you will find a path leading to Viale delle Mura Urbane. Follow the path, and you will soon arrive at Bulwark of Freedom.
