If you are traveling by car, head towards Porto Santo Stefano, which is one of the main towns on Monte Argentario. From the center of Maremma, take the SS1 (Via Aurelia) towards Grosseto. Once you reach Grosseto, take the exit for SP3 towards Porto Santo Stefano. Follow the signs for Porto Santo Stefano, and you will be driving towards the scenic coastal roads of Monte Argentario. The journey takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your starting point in Maremma. Parking is available near the waterfront and the main attractions.

By Public Transportation
To reach Monte Argentario via public transportation, you will first need to take a train to Orbetello. From the main train station in Maremma, board a train heading to Orbetello, which usually takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Orbetello train station, you can catch a local bus (Line 1) that goes directly to Porto Santo Stefano. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as services may be limited, especially on weekends and holidays.

Another option is to take the train to Orbetello and then hire a taxi from the train station to Monte Argentario. After arriving at Orbetello, you can find taxis waiting outside the station.
