There is no cost for walking to the Duomo.

If you are further away in the city, the closest metro stop is 'Duomo' on the M1 (Red Line) and M3 (Yellow Line). To get there, locate a nearby metro station and purchase a ticket from a ticket machine (cost: €2.00 for a single journey). Board the train towards Duomo station. Once you arrive at the Duomo stop, follow the signs to exit towards Piazza del Duomo. Upon exiting, you will find yourself right in front of the cathedral.
