The Duomo di Milano is easily accessible by public transport. Take the Metro Line M1 (Red Line) or M3 (Yellow Line) to Duomo Station. The station exits directly into Piazza del Duomo, a one-minute walk from the cathedral. A single metro ticket costs €2. Alternatively, several tram lines (1, 2, 3, 12, 14, 16, 19, 27) and bus routes (50, 54, 60, 61, 73, 94) stop near the Duomo. A single tram/bus ticket also costs €2.

Walking
The Duomo is located in the heart of Milan, making it easily accessible on foot from many central locations. From Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, simply exit the Galleria onto Piazza del Duomo, and the Duomo will be directly in front of you. From Teatro alla Scala, walk south along Via Filodrammatici, turn left onto Via Giuseppe Verdi, then turn right onto Via Alessandro Manzoni. Continue onto Via Santa Margherita, then turn left onto Piazza del Duomo. The walk is approximately 10 minutes. No costs are involved.

Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and FreeNow are readily available in Milan. A taxi ride from Milano Centrale Station to the Duomo costs approximately €10-€15 and takes about 10 minutes, depending on traffic.
