If you are starting from the Pisa Centrale train station, exit the station and head towards the main road, Via L. Federico. Walk straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with Via Garibaldi. Turn left onto Via Garibaldi and continue walking until you reach the wall of the old city of Lucca. Once you arrive at the wall, enter through the nearest gate and head straight until you find Piazza S. Giovanni. The Chiesa dei Santi Giovanni e Reparata will be on your left.

From Pisa Centrale, purchase a ticket to Lucca at the ticket counter or self-service machines. Board the train bound for Lucca, which usually departs every 30 minutes. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Lucca train station, exit onto Viale Giuseppe Garibaldi. Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the city walls. Enter through the nearest gate and proceed to Piazza S. Giovanni, where you will find the Chiesa dei Santi Giovanni e Reparata.
