From Positano, head to the main beach area (Spiaggia Grande) where you will find the ferry terminal. Look for the sign that says 'Ferry to Pompei.' Purchase your ticket at the ticket booth. The ferry ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the port in Sorrento, disembark and follow the signs to the train station.

At Sorrento's train station, buy a ticket for the Circumvesuviana train towards Naples. The train will stop at Pompei Scavi – Villa dei Misteri station, which is the closest station to the archaeological site. The train ride will take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Pompei Scavi station, follow the signs that lead you to the entrance of the archaeological site.

Alternatively, from the ferry terminal in Sorrento, you can take a bus directly to Pompei. Look for the bus marked 'Pompei' near the terminal. The bus ride takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive in Pompei, get off at the main bus stop and walk towards the entrance of the archaeological site, which is just a short walk away.
