Walking
If you are in the town center of San Gimignano, make your way towards Piazza della Cisterna, the large square known for its beautiful medieval towers. From there, head towards the northwest side of the square and look for the signs directing you to Piazza delle Erbe. Follow the signs, and as you walk, you will see charming shops and cafes lining the streets. Continue straight until you reach the intersection; here, turn right onto Via San Giovanni. Continue walking for about 150 meters, and you will see the stunning facade of the Duomo di Santa Maria Assunta on your left, situated in Piazza delle Erbe.

If you are coming from the San Gimignano bus station, exit the station and head towards Via Palazzina. Walk straight for about 200 meters until you reach the main road, Via Roma. Turn left onto Via Roma and continue walking until you reach Piazza della Cisterna. Once there, head towards the northwest side of the square, and follow the signs to Piazza delle Erbe. Turn right onto Via San Giovanni, continue for about 150 meters, and the Duomo di Santa Maria Assunta will be on your left in Piazza delle Erbe.
