Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the center of Taormina, start by heading to Corso Umberto I, the main street filled with shops and cafes. Walk towards the Porta Messina, the main entrance to the historic city. Once you pass through the gate, continue straight until you reach the end of the street. At the intersection, turn left onto Via Teatro Greco. Follow this road until you come to the ancient Greek Theatre on your right. Continue past the theatre, and take the next right onto Via Giuseppe Garibaldi. This will lead you down a slight slope. After a short walk, you will reach the bus station where you can catch a bus to Catania. Make sure to check the bus schedules for departures toward Catania Centrale train station.

    From the Taormina bus station, board a bus heading to Catania. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Catania Centrale, you will need to transfer to a train heading towards Rome. Check the timetable for the next available train to Rome Termini. Once you arrive at Rome Termini, follow the signs for the Metro.

    At Rome Termini, take Metro Line A in the direction of Battistini. Get off at the Repubblica station. After exiting the station, walk towards Via Nazionale. Continue walking straight until you reach Palazzo delle Esposizioni, located at Via Nazionale, 194. The building is easily recognizable by its grand façade.

    As you exit the Metro, you will be on Via Nazionale. Simply walk straight for about 5 minutes, and you will see Palazzo delle Esposizioni on your right-hand side. Enjoy your visit!
