    If you are starting from the famous Rialto Bridge, head south towards Campo San Polo. From there, continue straight to Campo Santa Margherita. Once you reach the square, turn left and walk along Calle della Chiesa until you reach the intersection with Fondamenta di Santa Croce. Continue straight until you reach the Grand Canal. Cross the Grand Canal by taking the vaporetto (water bus) to the San Samuele stop. Once you disembark, head straight, then turn right onto Calle del Traghetto. Follow this road until you see Punta della Dogana at Dorsoduro, 2.

    From the San Marco area, find the nearest vaporetto stop (such as San Marco Giardinetti). Take Line 1 or Line 2 towards the direction of Giudecca or the Zattere. Get off at the Zattere stop. Once you disembark, walk along the Fondamenta delle Zattere towards the right. Continue walking until you reach Punta della Dogana, located at Dorsoduro, 2.
