If you're driving from Bungo, head towards Route 10 and follow the signs for Yufu. Take Route 210 until you reach Yufuincho Kawakami. Mount Yufu is located at Yufuincho Kawakami, Yufu, Oita 879-5102. Parking is available near the base of the mountain, but be aware that there may be a parking fee, typically around 500 yen.

From Bungo, take a train to Yufuin Station. The journey usually takes around 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Yufuin Station, exit the station and look for the bus stop nearby. Board the bus heading towards the Mount Yufu area; the ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the designated bus stop for Mount Yufu. Tickets for the bus typically cost around 400 yen.

If you're already in the Yufuin area, you can walk to Mount Yufu from Yufuin Station. The walk will take about 30-40 minutes. Head towards the north-east from the station, following the signs that lead to Mount Yufu.
