Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Bungo. Head south on Route 10, following the signs for Yufu. After approximately 20 minutes, take a right onto Route 210. Continue for about 5 kilometers until you reach the signs for Kirin Lake. The Tenso Shrine is located at 156-1 Yufuincho Kawakami, Yufu, Oita 879-5102, right next to Kirin Lake. There is free parking available near the shrine.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a train from Bungo to Yufuin Station. The train ride takes about 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Yufuin Station, exit and take bus number 5 towards Kirin Lake. The bus ride will take around 15 minutes. Get off at the Kirin Lake stop, and from there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to Tenso Shrine, located at 156-1 Yufuincho Kawakami, Yufu, Oita 879-5102. Please note that the bus fare is approximately 600 yen.
