Settsukyo Park, nestled in Takatsuki City between Osaka and Kyoto, offers a refreshing escape into nature with hiking trails, seasonal flora, and scenic rock formations along the Akuta River. Public Transport
From JR Takatsuki Station, take a Takatsuki City Bus. Several bus routes provide access to different park entrances. For the southern entrance and Sakura Hiroba, take bus number 51 to Tsukawaki bus stop (approx. 15 minutes), followed by a 10-minute walk. For the northern entrance, take bus number 54 to Kaminokuchi bus stop (approx. 20 minutes), followed by a 10-minute walk. Bus fare is approximately ¥220. Note that bus service is limited on weekdays.
Taxi
Taxis are available from JR Takatsuki Station. A taxi ride to Settsukyo Park takes approximately 25 minutes. The estimated fare ranges from ¥9,000 to ¥11,000.
Driving
From National Route 171, turn at the Imashiro-cho intersection towards Settsukyo. Follow the road to Settsukyo Shimonokuchi parking. Parking is available at Shimonokuchi and Kaminokuchi parking lots. Parking fees vary, with Shimonokuchi Parking Lot charging approximately ¥800 per day for standard vehicles. Advance reservation may be required for larger buses.
